When is the water at its best?

Peak flow is February to May, when the spray is dramatic but can obscure the view. September to December is lower and clearer, and opens the Devil Pool. Both are worth seeing.

Which side of the Falls - Zimbabwe or Zambia?

Zimbabwe has the wider panoramic views and the better-value town; Zambia lets you get right to the edge at Livingstone Island. This trip is based in Zimbabwe with an optional Zambia day.

Is it a good add-on to a safari?

Victoria Falls & Chobe Safari | 5 Days, Zimbabwe & Botswana

Victoria Falls, Mosi-oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders, is over a kilometre wide and, in full flood, drops enough water to disappear behind its own spray. This trip gives you two full days to see it on foot, from the air and from the Zambezi at sunset, staying in the relaxed town on the Zimbabwe side.

From there it is a short transfer to Kasane in Botswana for a day on the Chobe River, where elephants cross in their hundreds and hippo, buffalo and big cats gather on the floodplain. The rest of the time is yours for the adventure menu the Falls is famous for.
