This policy sets out what happens if you cancel a confirmed booking with FLY LIKE EAGLES LTD, and how refunds are handled. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation by you
All cancellations must be sent to us in writing by email. The date we receive your email is the date used to calculate charges. Cancellation charges, as a percentage of the total trip price, are:
- More than 60 days before departure: loss of deposit
- 60 to 30 days before departure: 50 percent
- 29 to 15 days before departure: 75 percent
- 14 days or less before departure, or no-show: 100 percent
Non-refundable items
Some costs are non-refundable from the moment they are confirmed, regardless of when you cancel. These include gorilla and chimpanzee permits, national park and conservation fees, certain domestic and international flights, and any deposit a supplier does not return to us. Where these apply they will be shown on your booking confirmation.
If we make a refund
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 working days of us agreeing the amount. Refunds are made in the currency you paid in; we are not responsible for exchange-rate differences or card-provider fees.
Changes instead of cancellation
Where possible we will offer to move your booking to a new date rather than cancel it. A date change requested more than 60 days before departure is usually possible for an administration fee of £50 plus any supplier charges and any difference in trip price.
Cancellation by us
If we cancel your trip for any reason other than an event outside our control, you will receive a full refund of all money paid to us, or you may choose an alternative trip. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full detail.
Travel insurance
Cancellation charges are often recoverable through travel insurance if you cancel for a reason covered by your policy, such as illness. We strongly recommend taking out insurance as soon as you book.
